This Father's Day, Toby's Sports brought together fitness enthusiasts, active families, dads, and first-time HYROX hopefuls for the CORE SWEAT SERIES, a community workout designed to celebrate movement, connection, and the joy of training together.
Held at Prime Ape Club, Marikina, the event welcomed around 40 participants who came ready to challenge themselves through a HYROX-inspired functional fitness workout. Whether participants were seasoned athletes, training alongside their fathers or families, or simply curious to experience this style of training for the first time, everyone shared the same goal, to move, have fun, and celebrate fitness together.
A HYROX-Inspired Functional Fitness Challenge
The CORE SWEAT SERIES gave participants a taste of the intensity and excitement of HYROX-style training through a series of functional workout stations that tested strength, endurance, and determination.
Throughout the event, participants worked through:
- Kettlebell Swings
- Ring Rows
- SkiErg
- RowErg
- Sandbag Lunges
- Wall Balls
- BikeErg
- Alternating Dumbbell Press
Each station challenged participants in different ways while creating an encouraging environment where everyone could work at their own pace and celebrate every completed station.
Training with CORE Equipment
A key part of the workout featured CORE Kettlebells and CORE Dumbbells, giving participants the opportunity to experience versatile fitness equipment designed for functional strength training.
From explosive kettlebell swings to alternating dumbbell presses, every movement showcased how effective simple equipment can be when incorporated into dynamic full-body workouts.
Earning the Patch
No challenge is complete without a reward.
After crossing the finish line, participants received an exclusive CORE Sweat Series patch, adding an authentic race-inspired touch to the experience. Inspired by the achievement badges often associated with HYROX events, the patch served as a memorable reminder of everyone's hard work, determination, and accomplishment.
More Than Just a Workout
The CORE SWEAT SERIES was about more than completing stations, it was about building a stronger community through fitness.
It was inspiring to see fathers training alongside their children, families supporting one another, friends pushing each other through every challenge, and first-time participants discovering how welcoming functional fitness can be. The energy throughout the event perfectly reflected what Toby's Sports stands for: making sports and fitness accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.
