Pasig City, Philippines – July 19, 2025 – Passion, grit, and championship pedigree were on full display at SM City East Ortigas as the top pickleball athletes of the SM Pickleball SuperSeries returned for one final clash. The Battle of Champions brought together the winners of the three thrilling legs held earlier this year at SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, and SM North Edsa—plus one wildcard team—for an epic one-day tournament powered by Toby’s Sports.
In the end, Harvey Gilbuena, Nik Isagan, Fatima Amirul, and Gellian Rivera emerged as the Grand Champions, securing not only the ultimate bragging rights but also the honor of representing the Philippines at the Pickleball Champions League Asia (PCLA) Finals this August in Shenzhen, China.
A Battle of Champions
After months of fierce rallies and unforgettable finishes across the SuperSeries legs, only the best of the best made it to this exclusive finale. The competition was intense, but Gilbuena, Isagan, Amirul, and Rivera proved why they’re the elite of the elite, combining teamwork, strategy, and unwavering focus to win it all.
Their victory earned them an all-expense-paid trip to Shenzhen, where they will compete against the best amateur teams in Asia at the Mission Hills Mall Pickleball Stadium on August 9–10, 2025. The prize includes round-trip airfare, accommodations, pocket money, and the rare opportunity to raise the Philippine flag on a regional stage.
The Battle of Champions was more than just a tournament—it was a testament to the growing momentum of pickleball in the Philippines. The event was made possible through the support of Adidas, Polland, and Selkirk, and amplified by media partners Smart Sport, Puso Pilipinas, and Cignal.
This tournament also cemented the Philippines’ place on the international pickleball map through its partnership with the Pickleball Champions League Asia (PCLA)—a regional league that connects top amateur club teams across Asia including Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Japan, and more.
