Many people enjoy the intangible benefit of giving—a pleasant feeling of connectedness and the satisfaction of doing something to make the world a better place. As a company that operates 57 stores in cities and towns across the country, Toby’s Sports have always believed in its duty to give back to the community, and the company does this by doing what they do best—providing Filipinos from all walks of life access to sports .
Last August 2019, Toby’s Sports found an amazing beneficiary in Tahanang Walang Hagdanan (TWH), a non-stock, non-government organization, that has been providing services to Persons With Disabilities (PWD) for 45 years. Its programs and services are focused in the improvement of the quality of life of PWDs, most especially the orthopedically impaired by providing training, educational assistance, mobility aid assistance and livelihood.
Toby Claudio, President of Quorum International Inc., the parent company of Toby’s Sports, met with members of TWH and the group talked about their shared their individual stories and bonded over their shared love for sports. “Toby’s Sports believes in giving everyone a chance play sports and live an active lifestyle, no matter their background. And I’m really so happy that the TWHI team see the value that sports can bring to their amazing community,” Claudio said.
Quorum International Inc. President Toby Claudio and TWH’s Lita Evangelista were all smiles as they posed for a picture.
Through its CSR arm, the Toby’s Youth Sports Foundation, Toby’s Sports donated a variety of sports equipment, footwear, apparel and even a Ping Pong Table that brought so much delight to the TWHI community.
