It’s a new year so it’s only right we get to review some new kicks. And for this review, we’ll be taking a look at the latest from the Jordan Brand.

Traction
The Jordan XXXVI utilizes the ever-reliable, multi-directional herringbone traction pattern. It’s a personal favorite and it definitely doesn’t disappoint here. The traction grips courts incredibly well and you can count on these to keep you
One thing I would like to point out about the traction is the fact that the pattern and the rubber used are relatively thin. So, despite the XDR rubber on this shoe, you may have to watch out for this if you plan to use the Jordan 36 on outdoor courts.
Cushion
They implemented full length Zoom strobel board that sits under the foot with a bottom-loaded Zoom Air bag.
This setup makes the Zoom Air feel even springier than ever, and it the whole system certainly makes you feel bouncy. The cushion setup for the Jordan 36 feels amazing on feet without giving up on court feel.
Materials
The main material featured on the upper of the Jordan 36 is a leno jacquard weave. In terms of aesthetics, it might take a little getting used to because the material see-through.
But don’t worry, it’s definitely sturdy enough to support you during gameplay. It’s a great way to keep the upper lightweight and breathable while keeping it incredibly durable.
Lockdown and Fit
Lockdown was solid all the way through. You can definitely feel the lacing system work to keep your feet on the footbed of the shoe. I definitely had no issues whatsoever with loose fitting areas in the shoe.
As for the fit, the Air Jordan 36 fits true to size in my opinion. But hey, if you don’t want to take my word for it, that’s okay. Nothing beats going to the store and trying it on for yourself.
Overall
To sum it all up, the Jordan XXXVI are amazing performers on the court. With its grippy traction, amazingly comfy and responsive cushioning, and its durable yet breathable upper, the Jordan 36s are certainly one of the top basketball shoes for the year.
